Best Jewish blog ever

(With the exception, of course, of this blog and the JPS Blog…)

If, like me, you’re constantly on the lookout for funny, interesting, informative, and fresh voices on the internet… well, have I got a scoop for you!  If you haven’t had the pleasure of discovering MyJewishLearning.com’s blog, then go to Mixed Multitudes.  Right now.  It’s nothing short of awesome.

For the past few months, I’ve had the honor to be the Online Sales and Marketing Associate at the Jewish Publication Society.  One of the great parts of my job was to follow tons of Jewish blogs in order to keep in touch with 115668004_300what was happening in the Jewish book world.  During that time, I became borderline obsessed with Mixed Multitudes.  First of all, the name “Mixed Multitudes” is great – the phrase is biblical in origin, referring to a class of hangers-on that accompanied the Jews in their exodus from Egypt.  It’s also telling of the purposefully broad, diverse group of people who contribute to the blog: they’ve got everyone from a punk Orthodox Jew to Jewish atheist guest bloggers.  And they blog about everything from Woodstock to Torah to bad poetry to homophobia.  They all have fascinating perspectives and wicked writing skills.  In a word: rockin’.  Check ‘em out.
